Guntur
The Tagore Memorial Theatre Trust, Guntur, established in the late 1960s, is a living symbol of compassion, creativity, and community spirit. What began as a cultural vision has now grown into a movement that blends art with humanity.
Founded in honor of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, the Trust was created to unite people through creativity, education, and service — fostering awareness, empowerment, and cultural growth across generations.
The foundation stone for Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandir was laid on 8th September 1969 by Sri M. Venkataratnam, I.A.S., Collector & District Magistrate, and the theatre was inaugurated on 10th June 1975 by Sri J. Vengala Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
For over five decades, the Trust has stood as a bridge between art and service — hosting cultural performances, social awareness programs, educational drives, and welfare initiatives that continue to inspire compassion and change. Every act reflects our mission to build a society where creativity uplifts lives and service strengthens communities.
